In your own words, what are the different types of speech according to purpose and delivery?

The different types of speech according to purpose are:

a. Informative or Expository Speech - to educate or give relevant information on a certain topic

b. Persuasive Speech - to persuade or convince others to agree on the speaker's opinion or a certain topic

c. Entertainment Speech - to entertain or share and give laughter and enjoyment to others using witty or humorous words

 

The different types of speech according to delivery are:

a. Manuscript Speech - exact verbatim of a written message using visual aids

b.  Memorized Speech - recitation of a memorized written message

c. Extemporaneous Speech - planned and rehearsed speech about a certain topic, usually for presentation, which is spoken in a conversational manner

d. Impromptu Speech - presentation of a short message, without advance preparation, about a certain topic to an audience who are aware or knowledgeable about said topic
